The Accelerated Reader (AR) Program is an important part of your child's classroom reading routine. Students are now confident and independent readers, and it's time for us to start focusing on reading comprehension skills.

Accelerated Reader is a computer-based program that tests your child's reading and comprehension skills.
Students choose books on their individual reading levels to read independently. They then take a computer-based test to assess their comprehension of the chosen book. Some students are taking up to 10 AR tests per week!

You may sign in to AR Home Connect from your computer at home in order to track your child's progress on AR tests.

Your child's username and password will be their Student ID Number (begins with an 800). Most students have these numbers memorized, as they use them to take AR tests at school. If you would like a copy of your child's Student ID/AR number, please let me know!
